After FORDA, FAIMA Writes to Health Minister Requesting to Postpone NEET PG 2023

FAIMA Writes to Health Minister: The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) writes a letter to Maksukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The doctors’ body requests to postpone the NEET PG 2023 exam and to reconsider the aspirants’ internship eligibility.

According to the association, if the NEET PG 2023 exam will take place on March 5, 2023. Approximately 10,000 NEET aspirants will be ineligible to take the exam.

FAIMA also stated that because the NEET PG 2022 stray counselling round took place on January 10, 2023, many students did not have enough time to prepare for the NEET PG 2023 exam.

The United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), and other candidates earlier wrote to the minister requesting that the authorities must postpone NEET PG 2023 due to insufficient time to prepare for the exam and the long gap between the exam and counselling.

FAIMA Suggests Steps to Make Ineligible Candidates Eligible for NEET PG 2023

In light of previous similar situations in which the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS) postponed the NEET PG exam and also extended internship eligibility, the association requests that the health minister do the same.

“FAIMA suggests a similar step that can be considered this year in order to make many potential ineligible candidates eligible for NEET PG 2023. Given the preceding facts, FAIMA requests that the relevant authority kindly consider the request and do the necessary by postponing the exam by 2-3 months and reconsidering the eligibility criteria of interns to make them eligible for NEET PG 2023.”
