NEET Aspirant Dies By Suicide: Coaching city Kota, which is well known for having a number of institutes for JEE and NEET exams preparation is slowly turning into a suicidal hub as the city has witnessed another suicide case of a student today, 26 March 2024

A 20-year-old boy, who was a native of Samdhan village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district was preparing for the NEET UG 2024 examination in Kota, Rajasthan since last year, allegedly hanged himself in his room on Tuesday morning.

The Matter came to light when the parents of the boy tried to call him but received no response. Then, they contacted his friend and asked him to check on him. Later his friend went to his room and after multiple minutes of knocking the room, he received no response.

Then he informed the security regarding the matter and the guard informed the police regarding the same. The police reached the spot and opened the door and found the body of the boy hanging from the fan.

According to Vigyan Nagar police officials, the student had an average academic performance. They also stated that the reasons behind the suicide of the student are still being determined and further investigation is underway.

Previously, a 16-year-old boy from Bihar, preparing for the JEE Main 2024 examination also committed suicide in his PG room by consuming some poisonous substance.

Kota, Rajasthan has recorded an increase in suicides in recent years, mainly among JEE Main and NEET candidates and the reason behind most of the cases are exam stress and anxiety.
