AP ECET 2023 Exam Postponed to 20th June: Know Latest Details Here

AP ECET 2023 Exam Postponed: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE has released an official update. As per the official notification the AP ECET 2023 examination has been postponed and will now be conducted on 20th June 2023. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for 5th May, 2023. AP ECET 2023 Preliminary Answer Key Release

As per the official update, the candidates will be able to access the AP ECET 2023 preliminary answer keys latest by 23rd June, 2023 on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Following which, the answer key challenge window will be open for two days until 25th June, 2023. Candidates must thoroughly check the answer key and raise objection within the stipulated time frame.

Once the answer key objection window is closed, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) will release the final answer key which shall be deemed as official.

About AP ECET 2023 Exam

AP ECET or Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The purpose of AP ECET is to provide admission to eligible candidates into the first year of undergraduate B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes.

Examination Pattern

The AP ECET 2023 examination will be conducted in an online mode as a computer-based test (CBT). The qualifying percentage marks required for obtaining a rank in the AP ECET 2023 is 25 percent of the aggregate marks or 50 marks out of a total of 200 in the four subjects (three subjects for BSc mathematics). However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks required for ranking.

It is essential to note that the rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at the APECET [FDH and BSc (with mathematics as one of the optional subjects)] 2023 by any candidate claiming to belong to SC or ST category will be cancelled if the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission. This provision is put in place to ensure that there is no misuse of the relaxation provided to the SC/ST category candidates.

Candidates appearing for AP ECET 2023 must prepare themselves well and aim to score at least the minimum qualifying marks to secure a rank in the examination. Candidates must also ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and provide valid documents to support their claim. Admissions are strictly based on merit, and candidates who fulfil the requirements will be offered admission into the undergraduate B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes.
