Candidates for stenographer positions should have a 12th grade diploma from a reputable board or institution. Instructor in stenography with two years of ITI or a diploma with steno NCVT/SCVT.

As of August 1, 2022, candidates shall be between the ages of 18 and 37. Age restrictions do not apply to reserved groups.
