After the release of the CBSE class 12 board exam result 2024 on 13 May, a 16 year old boy living in Delhi allegedly committed suicide by hanging in his rented accommodation after failing in board examination.

The incident took place on Monday evening in East Delhi’s Lakshmi Nagar area. The local police were informed about the incident and then the police rushed to the area. As the deceased’s room was locked, a police officer broke the door to recover the body.

After the investigation, an official statement revealed that the young boy was a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Itawah district living in Delhi to prepare for the engineering examination along with his class 12 board exam.

The statement further revealed that the boy failed 2 subjects in the class 12 board exam 2024. The reason behind the suicide is still not clear as no suicide note was found but there are chances that depression could be a reason.

Police have already informed the deceased’s parents about the sad incident and the boy’s body has been kept in the mortuary for postmortem.

On 13 May 2024, the CBSE released the class 10 and 12 board examination results, in which 93.60% of students in class 10 and 87.98% of students in class 12 passed the examination.
