CLAT 2023 Counselling: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 counselling has begun online as of December 28, 2022, as stated by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).

Only those candidates are eligible to apply for the CLAT counselling admission procedure who have received an invitation from the consortium through email/sms or via the CLAT 2023 portal.

There will be five rounds of CLAT counselling. According to their position on the CLAT merit list and the NLU seat matrix, candidates will be assigned seats.

On December 18, 127 testing locations around the nation administered the CLAT 2023 admission exam.

The registration deadline for the CLAT 2023 counselling process for invited candidates is January 12, 2023, till 6 p.m.

CLAT 2023 Counselling Instructions

To take part in CLAT 2023 counselling, follow these instructions:

  • Verify the invitation for counselling during each round by logging into your CLAT account.
  • Simply press the “Make Payment” button. Pay the counselling registration fee of Rs. 30,000 (for candidates in the general category) or Rs. 20,000 (for candidates in the ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD categories).
  • Online registration for CLAT counselling is available, and the registration fee is refundable.
  • Before logging out, wait till the notification “Payment Successful” appears on the screen.

LIST Of Required Documents For CLAT 2023

Candidates will need the following documentation for the CLAT 2023 counselling process:

  • 10th and 12th Class mark sheet
  • CLAT 2023 Admit Card
  • LLB/equivalent degree mark sheet (for PG candidates)
  • Character certificate
  • Transfer/migration certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • PwD/SAP certificate
  • Domicile/residence certificate
  • Any other supporting documents

The preferred NLU will assign a seat to the qualified individuals who successfully registered. On January 18, 2023, the initial seat allotment list will be released. Candidates will have the choice of freezing, floating, or leaving the CLAT counselling round.

All applicants who choose the freeze option during the first or second round of counselling are required to pay the remaining university fees by May 20, 2023, after deducting the counselling registration charge and confirmation fee.
