CUET UG 2023 Exam Format, Subject Choices will remain same, says UGC Chairman

CUET UG 2023 Exam Format – In the CUET UG 2023 Exam Format, there will be no changes in the format of holding the CUET UG 2023 Exam, this year. The subject choices will remain the same, number of centres will be increased, says UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar.

With several complaints about the conduct of CUET – the 1st ever All-India Exam for admission to UG/PG courses held in 2022 – the NTA was considering making changes to this year’s exam. Reduction in the number of subject combinations on offer & review of the number of exam cities were among the factors under consideration.

The delay in the intimation of exam centres, technical issues & a slow upload of the question paper were a few of the complaints marked during CUET, last year.

It was also reported that a committee headed by the Vice Chancellor of the Central had been made to outline the implementations of CUET.

UGC Chairman further added that “Everything will remain the same this year. There’s no change. Students will have the same options of subjects including the same format.”

He added “Last year, 14.9 lakh students applied for CUET that required almost 450 centres each day. So, this year we are considering about 1000 centres.

Even if 600 centres per day will be required, we still have extra centres as standby so that any kind of issues can be minimised.

As per the official schedule, the CUET UG 2023 Examination is scheduled to be conducted from 21st May to 31st May, 2023 while the dates from 1st to 7th June 2023 have been reserved for later.
