The Delhi High Court stated to all the school authorities that once a school uploads the internal assessment marks of a student on the official website of CBSE @cbse.gov.in, they cannot be changed later.

Justice C Hari Shankar said that no corrections are made in the internal assessment marks of the students even if there is an error in the uploading of marks.

Furthermore, Justice C Hari Shankar added that these changes would lead to chaos and would require the board to conduct individual verification in each case.
As per the Economic Times, the petition was filed by the father of a class 10th student studying in a CBSE-affiliated school in Onam stating that her daughter was awarded 18 out of 20 marks instead of 20 out of 20 in her internal assessment.
The court stated that the CBSE is not in a position to blindly accept these kinds of requests of the students and school authorities. The court also expressed empathy for students but stated that the circular was not challenged, and the board’s decision was in line with them.
Later on, the writ petition was dismissed immediately by the High Court of Delhi, whereas, the court also stated that this decision was clearly from the head and not from the heart.
The Delhi High Court said that restrictions in the correction requisites made by the school authorities are in the public interest, and there was no sustainable grievance in the petition filed by the class 10th girl and her family.
At last, the court has ordered all the schools to be careful while uploading the marks of the students on the website of CBSE.
