Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Inaugurated 211 PM SHRI Schools In Chhattisgarh

The union minister of education, skill development & entrepreneurship, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated 211 Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) in Chhatisgarh’s Raipur city.

The inauguration event was held on 19 February 2024 in the presence of Chattisgarh’s CM Vishnu Deo Sai and Chhattisgarh Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked PM Modi during his speech at the inauguration ceremony for boosting India’s educational system by introducing initiatives like PM SHRI.

Pradhan complimented Chhatisgarh’s students for their confidence and hard work, stating that their innovative thinking skills would carry them forward. He also thanked the Chief Minister of the state for making student’s education their priority.

“Innovation Is In The DNA Of Indian Students” What Does It Mean?

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the necessity of learning one’s mother tongue for a complete education, as outlined in the NEP 2020. He also highlighted the scientific proof that 85% of human brain growth occurs by the age of 8 and explained how the implementation of Balvatika in schools can benefit children.

Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan raised the slogan that “innovation is in the DNA of Indian students” because the creative thinking and effective learning skills of Indian students will be boosted by the initiative of PM SHRI schools.

He stated that skills, vocational studies, song, drama, athletics, and other activities that promote aptitude and employability of the students will now improve academic courses, in addition to language, mathematics, science, environmental science, and social science stating that innovation is in the DNA of Indian students.

The PM SHRI schools will have better facilities, allowing for world-class education for students. He also discussed some of the key characteristics of NEP 2020 and said that NCERT will soon release new textbooks based on the new curriculum.

PM SHRI is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India intended to develop more than 14500 PM SHRI schools that offer a wide range of learning experiences to the students, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.

Members of parliament, Shri Sunil Soni, Shri Rajesh Munat, Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Moti Lal Sahu,  Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, secretary of school education ministry Shri Sanjay Kumar, additional secretary Shri Vipin Kumar, and other dignitaries were also present in the event.
