IIT JAM 2024 Exam On 11 February, Follow These Instructions On Exam Day

With just two days until the exam, candidates taking the Joint Admission Test for Master’s (JAM) session in 2024 should be aware of the rules regarding exam day. Every year many aspirants get disqualified from the JAM examination due to a lack of knowledge of documents required to carry one exam day or not following the instructions.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has set up a few regulations and rules that candidates have to follow on exam day if any candidate is going to break the rule or is found not following any of the instructions then they will be not allowed to give the exam and action will be taken.

IIT JAM 2024 Important Exam Day Instructions

We have compiled all the important exam day instructions for the candidates appearing in the JAM 2024 examination: 

• Candidates will be required to carry a copy of their IIT JAM 2024 admit card on the exam day, no one will be permitted to enter the exam hall without a hall ticket. 
• Original valid government-approved ID proof as uploaded on the application form will be needed along with the admit card. 
• Applicants should not have any kind of ink marks, henna, tattoos, etc on their palms as biometric fingerprint verification will be done prior to the exam. 
• A photograph identification of candidates will also be done before entering the exam hall. 
• Electronic devices such as mobile phones (even if switched off), smart watches, calculators, etc will not be tolerated in the exam hall. 
• Anyone who is caught in the possession of prohibited items will be disqualified from the exam immediately. 
• Aspirants should not carry any kind of printed, handwritten, or scanned study material inside the exam hall. 
• Any kind of communication i.e. verbal or non-verbal among the candidates is not allowed in the exam hall. 
• Test-takers strictly note to not tamper with computer systems or related hardware provided in the exam hall. Any candidates found to have tampered with the facilities will have their candidature canceled. 
• Any aspirant found using any kind of unfair means in the exam hall will be disqualified from the JAM 2024 examination.
