This year, the university offers admission into 10 programmes to the students. “We have formed a committee to check the implementation of CUET. The committee is expected to make a report regarding the same soon” said Jamia Millia Islamia Registrar Nazim Hussain Al-Jafri.

The report submitted by the committee will be presented during a meeting of the Academic Council in January & thereafter Executive Council, the Highest decision-maker of the university will consider the matter.

“The academic council will discuss the matter during a meeting in January. Further the Executive Council will discuss it” Registrar added.

Jamia Millia Islamia organises an admission process to offer admissions into several UG-level programmes provided by them.

The JMI 2022 Admission process for Undergraduate courses was started earlier in August. Candidates applied by submitting their CUET 2022 scores on the official website. This process was conducted till 30th September, 2022.

Candidates have been provided admission into 10 UG courses through CUET, this year. These courses are – BA (Hons) Turkish Language & Literature, BA (Hons) French & Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) Spanish & Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) Hindi, BSc (Hons) Physics, BSc Biotechnology & BVoc Solar Energy.

However, the UGC has announced that it will be compulsory for all central universities to admit students through CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

After that, more than 13 lakh applicants participated in the CUET Examination. Major Central universities in the national capital considered CUET UG admission.
