In light of the petitioner’s failure to provide the brochure, the court had scheduled the hearing for today, January 10, 2023.

The petitioner informed the court that the JEE Mains 2023 dates conflict with the 2023 board exams and that the 75% eligibility requirement reinstated this year will have an impact on thousands of students.

The petitioner claimed that the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 and the Class 12th Practicals & Vivas will clash. The CBSE HSC & 12th ICSE Exams will also start on February 1, which may have an impact on students in Class 12.

Less students would register in January Session due to the clash between JEE Main 2023 & Pre-board exams.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) was represented by attorney Rui Rodriguez, who stated that the Class 12 score is taken into account for admission and not for eligibility to take the JEE Main 2023 exam.

The argument included the claim that, in the past, NTA had announced the IIT JEE Main 2023 exam dates two to three months beforehand. This time, however, students won’t have enough time to prepare because of the short notice given for the announcement of the exams.
