As per the NTA’s information bulletin, candidates must secure 75% in Class 12th in order to participate in the JEE Main 2023. Students have requested relaxation for this criterion as well.

“The 75% eligibility in the Class 12th Board Examination will affect many students who can score very high in the Mains Examination but may not have 75% marks in the board examination,” the petition added.

Meanwhile, the JEE Main 2023 Application Process is ongoing for the Session 1 Examination.

Along with relaxation, the plea also states that the JEE Main 2023 Exam Dates were announced on very short notice. Students are already preparing for their board examinations. Also, they are appearing for pre-boards at their respective schools.

“Most of the state boards have scheduled their Board & Pre-board Examinations in January 2023. Therefore, it is difficult for the students to appear in the Mains examination. The Mains examination scheduled for January 2023 is non-beneficial to them,” the petition reads.

Thus, the petition seeks the cancellation of the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 from January to April. Presently, the JEE Main 2023 Exams are also in a clash with the CBSE Practical Exams.

Recently, the NTA has introduced practice centres for the Mains Exam. It will help the students to get familiar with the Computer Based Test (CBT) format through Mock Tests. This practice will make them capable of taking a Computer Based Test (CBT).
