Student Reactions for 27 Jan JEE Main 2024 B.E & B.Tech Exam
As per the feedback from the students who appeared for the exam, “the JEE Main 2024 BTech paper had a well-balanced level of questions”.
Aditya Nigam, who took the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam from a centre in Meerut, told the media that the level of difficulty of the Mathematics section was higher as compared to Physics and Chemistry. Around five questions were tricky, which might impact the overall percentage.
Physics was on the moderate to difficult level whereas Chemistry was on the easier side,” said Ajay Sharma.
JEE Main 27 Jan 2024 Paper 1 Detailed Analysis
In the JEE Main BTech January 2024 paper 1 each subject had two sections – Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 had 20 multiple-choice questions, while Section 2 had 10 numerical-based questions, out of which only five had to be answered.
According to most students, the numerical-based questions in both shifts were relatively easy. A few fact-based questions from NCERT Class 12 chapters were asked in the first shift. Students felt there was more weightage given to chapters from class 12th.
JEE Main 2024 Analysis: Physics
As per the experts, the Physics section of JEE Main 2024 held in the morning shift was moderately easy. The paper contained questions about mechanics and current electricity, electrostatic, magnetism
The majority of the questions were from the Class 11 syllabus, and the expert added that the paper also included questions from the previous year.
Nitin Viijay, founder and CEO of Motion Education, shared a JEE Main 2024 paper 1 analysis that showed questions from momentum conservation, current electricity, and electrostatic potential in the morning shift.
JEE Main 2024 Analysis: Chemistry
The first shift of the JEE Main 2024 exam paper 1 day 1 had questions related to magnetic moment and atomic structure in the Chemistry section.
The expert advised the aspirants to revise the periodic table, thermochemistry, kinetics and integer-type questions before taking the exam.
As per the analysis done by Aakash BYJU, the Chemistry paper in shift 1 was mostly based on NCERT books. Although most of the questions were theoretical, a few were memory-based and confusing.

According to students’ feedback, the mathematics paper in the morning shift was moderate to difficult. The paper included questions from calculus, complex numbers, 2-D matrix, and determinants, with 2D and calculus being dominant. Almost all the topics were covered in the paper.
On comparing the JEE Main 2024 paper 1 to the previous year’s examination, the mathematics section had an increase in difficulty level. Some questions were lengthy and tricky.
