JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Examination Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) 2024 session 1 examination from 24 January 2024 to 1 February 2024.

On 2 February 2024, NTA released a notice regarding the JEE Main 2024 session 1 and mentioned complete details about the number of candidates who appeared in the examination, exam shifts, centre, etc.

As per the NTA’s press release, the JEE Main 2024 session 1 has marked the highest attendance in the last three years in both paper 1 and paper 2.
The aspirants who appeared in the JEE Main 2024 session 1 examination were 27% more than those who appeared in the 2023 and 2022 examinations.
NTA mentioned in the notice “The entire examination for all shifts was conducted smoothly and successfully” assuring smooth conduction of the exam.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam Complete Details
According to NTA, approximately 12,25,529 candidates have appeared for the examination out of 12,95,617 who applied for the JEE Main 2024 session 1.
A total of 11,70,036 aspirants in paper 1 i.e. 95.8% and 55,493 applicants in paper 2 i.e. 75% attempted the JEE Main 2024 session 1 examination.
The number of exam centres also increased this year. JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam was held in 544 centres in 291 cities, including foreign centres. Along with India, the exam was also conducted in 21 exam centres in foreign cities.
