JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Paper 1 Exam Analysis (Shift 1)
The JEE Main 2024 paper 1 was conducted for admissions to B.E/B.Tech courses. The paper comprises 2 sections of 90 MCQ questions out of which the students have to answer 75 questions.
As per the student’s overall reactions, the JEE Main 2024 session 2 paper 1, shift 1 exam was moderately difficult. However, the Chemistry section of the examination gives surprise to the candidates, as several questions from this subject are tricky and lengthy.
The physics section of the paper was moderately difficult with an equal distribution of theory-based and numerical-based questions. However, many questions in this section were asked from the electromagnetism topic.
While the mathematics section was considered difficult as most of the questions were formula-based and derived from coordinate geometry and integral calculus.
A student says more questions in the chemistry section were asked from physical chemistry and metallurgy. Aspirants say that questions were confusing, and several questions were not even easy to answer by them.

The students who took the JEE shift 2 exam stated that the overall exam was moderate, however, a number of students stated that the mathematics section of the exam was quite difficult and lengthy.
Whereas, the chemistry and physics section of the examination is considered easy, as the questions were formula-based. Some of the students also suggested that the candidates who were yet to take the exam could prepare from the NCERT books.
