The Education Department officials stated that the government’s plan was to introduce the state level examinations for elementary level students. It was part of the plan to check the progress as well as maintain the learning gap caused due to the pandemic.

Students of Class 5th & 8th will not be promoted if they fail to succeed in the annual examination, according to the detention policy. The authority has also published the examination schedule along with the new guidelines.

In the case of the syllabus, the board exams will be assessing students on the Term 2 syllabus. The things taught between November 2022 to March 2023 would be considered for the board exam syllabus.

Karnataka Board Exams 2023: Class 5th & 8th Exam Dates

Check out the following schedule of the Karnataka Board Class 5th and 8th Exams –

  1. According to the schedule, the Class 5th & 8th Examination is scheduled to begin on 9th March, 2023. This date is applicable for all schools affiliated with Karnataka School Examination & Assessment Board/KSEAB.
  2. However, the examination will end on 17th March, 2023. The exams for both classes will be organised with a time duration of 2 hours for a total of 50 marks.

However, the complete schedule has not been announced yet. As per the schedule, the evolution for the same would start from 21st March while the results are supposed by 10th April, 2023. From next year, the complete course work will be part of the annual exam syllabus.

On the other hand, the Annual Examination Registrations will be controlled by the school head masters. There will be a regular examination for Class 5th & 8th at the end of every academic year.
