The Karnataka Management of Private and Secondary Schools has issued the precautionary notice because 594 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Thursday, 21 Dec 2023 in India.
Karnataka Schools COVID-19 Guidelines
With a surge in COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, the Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) issued precautionary guidelines in their schools.
The schools in the state have been put on high notice due to an increase in COVID-19 Sub Variant JN.1 cases.
- The KAMS has strictly disallowed ill students to attend their classes, and are advised to rest at their homes.
- Schools have been asked to check the temperature of the students regularly.
- All the schools in Karnataka need to sanitize their schools and respective areas regularly to avoid any kind of COVID-19 infection.
- Students are also advised to follow the safety measures issued by the KAMS and carry face masks in schools.
- It is mandatory for the students and teachers to follow social distancing during prayers and in classes.
As per the regulatory notice, a student who feels unwell in school must be sent to an isolation room for first aid treatment, and a notification be sent to their parent from the school.
