Kerala School Kalolsavam Festival 2023: The Kerala School Kalolsavam 2023 began on January 3 in Kozhikode. On January 3,  at 10 am in Kozhikode, Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the School Kalolsavam 2023.

Kerala’s school youth festival is currently in its 61st year. According to local accounts, the festival would probably attract 14,000 or so secondary school students.

The youth festival, which is five days long, will continue till January 7, 2023. Students from different schools take part and display their talent in various shows. Kalolsavam was attended by students in Classes 8 to 12.

What’s Kalolsavam

Kalolsavam is an annual festival. The Government of Kerala hosts Kalolsavam every year, which includes a number of art competitions for school students in higher secondary and high schools.

The Kerala School Kalolsavam is an interschool competition where points are awarded based on performance. The results are posted on the website ulsavam.kite.kerala.gov.in.

The host district Kozhikode is now at second position with 276 points, leading only the Kannur district with 280 points. Palakkad district follows with 269 points. The whole list is available to students on the official website.

Details About 2023 Kalolsavam

The school festival is resumed this year after a two-year break caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, making this year’s Kalolsavam particularly significant.

 24 venues have been set up in Kozhikode to host the competitions. Additionally, 30 special cars for employees and students as well as 20 lodging facilities for participants have been set up.
The district with the most points wins and receives the Kalolsavam Gold Cup.
