The incident occurred after the national flag hoisting at the school located at Peadri in the Sirmaur area of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr Namdoe stated that the children were served poori-sabji and laddoos on Republic Day. They added that after having lunch, the children started feeling uneasy and complained of vomiting and loose motions.
When the conditions worsen, the school authority takes the students to a local community health centre and now the student’s condition is stable.

After admitting the students to the nearby local community health centre, a team of doctors from Kusha Bhau Thakre district hospital and government Shyam Shah Medical College was called up to provide better treatment to the children.
The doctors stated that the reason for which the students fell sick was food poisoning.
As the condition of 1 girl turned serious, she was admitted to the government Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, where the treatment is underway, said Dr Namdeo.
