NEET 2023 in Manipur Postponed Due to Violence; Revised Exam Dates to be Announced by NTA

NEET 2023 Postponed in Manipur: The NEET UG 2023 exam scheduled for May 7, 2023 in Manipur has been postponed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to the prevailing violence and law and order situation in the state. ANI reported that 8,751 students from Manipur would miss the exam. Union Minister Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, who is also the BJP MP from Manipur, confirmed that the exam had been postponed and that the revised dates would be announced soon. In a letter addressed to NTA earlier, MoS Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh had requested the exam authority to consider rescheduling the exam given the situation in Manipur.

The official tweet reads “From our state, 8751 students will not be present in the exam…We requested the NEET authority to postpone the exam, & now it has been postponed. The next date will be announced soon: Union Minister Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh (BJP MP from Manipur) on Manipur violence.”
