NEET Aspirant From UP Commits Suicide in Kota, 26th Case of Coaching Student in 2023

NEET Aspirant Dies By Suicide: Kota, a city in Rajasthan that is well known for its coaching institutes for engineering and medical entrance examinations is slowly turning into a suicide hub. Another NEET aspirant was found dead in her hostel room in Mahavir Nagar Kota.

The deceased was a 21-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya, found dead in her hostel room. On Wednesday, 29 November 2023 she was discovered hanging in her hostel room.

The Assistant Sub-Inspector said that no suicide note was found in the girl’s room, whereas the reason behind the suicide will be known after the deceased’s family member comes to the hospital, he added.

The deceased father stated that he used to call her daughter every day. It is said that she talked to her father late in the night and then hanged herself from the ceiling fan. When her father called her again, she did not pick up the call. Her father then called the hostel staff, who rushed to check on the girl. 

When nobody opened the door, the police were informed and they broke the door of the hostel room, where her body was hanging from the ceiling fan.

Rajasthan’s Kota is witnessing its 26th suicide case among students, so the authorities made it necessary to install anti-hanging devices in the hostels and institutes in Kota.
