About NEET Examination

NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is a national-level entrance examination conducted in India for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS) in government or private medical colleges in India. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is held once a year.

NEET UG exam comprises 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and is conducted in pen and paper mode. The questions are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) and are of 11th and 12th standard level. The exam duration is 3 hours and each correct answer carries 4 marks, while each wrong answer deducts 1 mark.
