National Law School of India University, Bengaluru (NLSIU) will conduct the NLSAT (National Law School Admission Test) to offer admission into its PhD programmes for the A.Y. 2023-24.

The NLSAT PhD 2023 Application Fee will be Rs. 3,000 for all candidates. Also, candidates will have to deposit a Research Proposal of 6-8 pages.

Earlier, the Online Registration Process was started on 16th January, 2023. The admission will be provided on the basis of marks secured in the NLSAT PhD 2023 Exam, Research Proposal & Oral Presentation.

How to Apply for NLSAT PhD 2023 Exam

Follow the following steps to apply for the NLSAT PhD 2023 –

  • Visit the official website – nls.ac.in.
  • You will enter the homepage of this site.
  • Press the “Ph.D (Law) or Ph.D (Interdisciplinary)” section available on the homepage.
  • Go through the “Admission” section & click on the “Apply for the Programme” tab.
  • First, register yourself & then log in using the generated credentials to proceed further.
  • Now, fill up the “NLSIU PhD 2023 Application form” by entering the required details.
  • Upload the necessary documents & pay the registration fees.
  • Once done, click the “submit” button.
  • Download the page & keep a copy of the same page for further usage.

However, candidates will be able to apply for the NLSAT PhD 2023 till 6th April, 2023. There are a total of 8 PhD seats containing 4 PhD Law seats & 4 Interdisciplinary seats at NLSIU.

The Exam will be conducted for a time duration of 150 minutes. The paper will include research aptitude carrying 50 marks & answers on law topics having 50 marks.

Candidates will have to obtain above 50% in the written test. Qualified candidates will proceed further for the research proposal or oral presentation before the expert panel.
