NLSIU Bengaluru: The 5-year BA LLB and 1-year LLM programmes at Bengaluru’s National Law School of India University (NLSIU) now have more seats available.

There are now 240 BA LLB seats available at the university due to the NLSIU Inclusion and Expansion Plan. The overall number of applicants for the LLM programme has also increased from 75 to 100.

By the academic year 2028–2029, the university’s on-campus programmes are expected to register more than 2,200 students, according to the NLSIU Inclusion and Expansion Plan, which was unveiled in June 2021.
According to this plan, the institution expanded the number of BA LLB seats from 120 to 180 and the number of LLM seats from 50 to 75 last year.
Additionally, 3-year LLB programme with admittance through the National Law School Admission Test was introduced last year (NLSAT).
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is used for both BA LLB and LLM programme admissions.
The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will conduct the offline format of the national-level law admission exam, CLAT 2023, on December 18, 2022.
NLSIU Bengaluru Number of Seats in BA LLB and LLM
The NLSIU Bengaluru will reserve 25% of the total seats for applicants with Karnataka residences. Therefore, the domicile category will give 25 LLM seats and 60 BA LLB seats.

The annual fee for the BA LLB and LLM programmes at NLSIU is around Rs. 3.27 lakh for students in the general category and Rs. 3.23 lakh for students belonging to the SC and ST categories.
Candidates should pay the course fees during the CLAT counselling process which is conducted for the admission.
