NLU Tripura Withdraws from CLAT 2023 Admission: The National Law University of Tripura (NLU, Tripura) will not accept the CLAT 2023 marks for admission to the BA LLB and LLM programmes. The organisation has also been removed from the candidates’ specified NLU preferences.

The National Law University, Tripura (NLU, Tripura), according to the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), has informed it that it will not participate in the admissions counselling process for the academic year 2023–2024.

To all applicants participating in the admissions counselling process, it was stated, “NLU, Tripura shall be excluded from the preferences provided by candidates for the Common Law Admission Test, 2023.”

Earlier, NLU Tripura offered 150 seats to CLAT applicants for its five-year LLB programme and 50 seats for its LLM programme, both of which were listed on the List of NLUs Accepting CLAT Scores.

NLU Tripura Cancelled BA LLB and LLM Admissions for 2022-23

The 25th National Law University (NLU) was founded in October 2022, is located in Tripura. Earlier, it was anticipated that the institution will begin this year’s academic session.

On account of the state domicile quota, it abruptly cancelled the BA, LLB, and LLM admissions for the academic year 2022–23 just a few days before classes began.

After NLU Tripura withdrew, there are currently 23 NLUs, including the recently founded GNLU Silvasa, that will recognise the results of the recently held CLAT 2023.

For national law universities, the consortium has begun the admissions counselling process. Candidates that have been shortlisted may complete their registration by January 12, 2023.
