NMC revises MBBS Academic Calendar and Curriculum – The NMC (National Medical Commission) has revised the MBBS Academic Calendar and Curriculum applicable for MBBS 2022-23 Batch on 7th December, 2022. Students can check out the revised calendar from the NMC’s official website.

The updated Calendar and Curriculum indicate that the academic calendar for the first phase of MBBS will end on 15th December, 2023. There will be a total of 1638 hours of teaching and learning in the 1st phase of MBBS, this year.

The time duration of 1st Phase will be 13 months. On the other hand, the NMC has released a timetable of approx. 42 weeks. The university exam & results will dedicate almost 10 weeks while vacations will be considered for three weeks in total & public holidays will be of 2 weeks.

As per the previous schedule, the total duration of the MBBS was scheduled for 66 months.

  • You will enter the homepage of this site.
  • Go through the “What’s New” section available on the homepage.
  • Click on the Download link given for “Updated Academic Calendar & Curriculum For MBBS 2022-23 Batch” under the same section.
  • A pdf will open on the computer screen.
  • Check the details mentioned & download it.
  • Keep it safe for further requirements.

However, the authority has also published the Key changes from GMER 2019 including changes like No posting during electives, Medicine shifted to the Final Phase, No Supplementary batches, Theory sessions of Dermatology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Respiratory & many other changes.
