Odisha Class 10 Boy Committed Suicide Before the Start Of Board Exam 2024

Today, 20 February 2024, a shocking incident occurred in Odisha’s Bolangair district when a student committed suicide by hanging himself hours before the start of the Odisha board examination 2024.

The incident occurred at Viswatma S Vidyamandir in the Kamakshi Nagar region of Bolangir district. Whereas, the deceased was a native of Taliudar village in the district.

On the morning of 20 February 2024, the students found the boy hanging in the hostel’s washroom and immediately called the police. Later he was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

In an interrogation with the police, the hostel warden Sambit Kumar stated that “we are unable to understand the cause of his death. He was a meritorious student. The school had no pressure on the student”.

He was expected to take the Odisha board class 10 exam 2024 at the Bhagaban Bidya Mandir center in Khujenpali stated the police.

As per the BSE Odisha, the class 10 board exam 2024 is scheduled to be held on 20 February 2024 from 10 AM and last till 4 March 2024. Whereas, around 5.51 lakh students will appear in the examination at 3047 centres across the state.

However, the police investigation is still ongoing and the reason for the boy’s death is still unknown.
