UGC NET (University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test) 2023 Exam will be held to determine the eligibility of the aspirants for the posts of “Assistant Professor & Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor” at various universities across the country. Those who belong to GEN/GEN-EWS category & have secured minimum 55% marks in Master’s Degree from any reputed university are eligible to participate in the UGC NET 2023 Exam.

While the OBC/SC/ST/PwD candidates who have obtained 50% marks in Master’s Degree from any reputed university are eligible for this Exam.

How to Register for UGC NET 2023 Exam

Follow the following steps to apply for the UGC NET 2023 –

  • Login to the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • You will enter the homepage of this site.
  • Go through the “Candidate Activity” section of the homepage.
  • Click on the link “Register for UGC NET 2023” available under the same section.
  • First, click on the “New Candidate Registration” button to register yourself.
  • Now, log in using the generated credentials & fill up the “UGC NET 2023 Registration Form” by entering the personal, educational, address & contact details.
  • Upload the necessary documents & pay the registration fees.
  • Once done, click the “Submit” button.
  • Download the page & keep a copy of the same page for further usage.

UGC NET 2023 Exam Pattern – The Exam will be conducted through Computer Based Test (online) Mode with a time duration of 180 minutes. On the other hand, there will be 50 MCQ’s in Paper 1 & 100 MCQ’s in Paper 2. 2 marks will be allocated fro every right attempt with no negative markibng.
