UGC NET 2024 June Registration: NTA Scribe Facility Details Here

Every year, around 10 lakh candidates register for the UGC NET examination in which several candidates belong to the PwD category the NTA provides some facilities including a scribe facility to the candidates to accommodate a fair and smooth examination process.

The UGC NET 2024 June session examination is scheduled to be held on 18 June 2024, and the registration process has been extended by NTA till 15 May 2024

This year also, many candidates from the PwD categories are applying for the exam and are wondering whether the authority provides the scribe facility or not.

Candidates should note that NTA is going to provide the scribe facility to the PwD candidates with a benchmark disability of more than 40%. Those who want this facility have to make the scribe request during the UGC NET 2024 June registration procedure.

Moreover, the candidates who are willing to get a scribe facility are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for using a scribe in the UGC NET 2024 June examination. In case the candidates fail to fulfill those eligibility requirements, their application form will immediately rejected by the authority.

Who Are Eligible For Using Scribe In UGC NET 2024 June Exam?

As per the UGC NET 2024 June information bulletin, persons with benchmark disabilities above 40% of a specified disability can apply for a scribe to write their UGC NET 2024 June examination.

The facility of a scribe is provided to those candidates who are certified for a benchmark disability by a CMO / Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution. Along with this, a compensatory time of one hour is also provided to the PwD candidate whether they use a scribe or not.

In case a candidate uses a scribe facility or receives compensatory time in the exam but does not have any disability, they will be removed from the admission process. Whereas, if such a candidate has already received an award letter or certificate from the authority, their candidacy will be withdrawn.
