UPSC IES/ISS Registration Begins: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification regarding the commencement of the online application form for Indian Engineering Services (IES) and Indian Statistical Services (ISS) on 19th April, 2023. Aspirants must visit the official website to apply for UPSC IES/ISS 2023 before 9th May, 2023.

Steps to Apply for UPSC IES/ISS 2023

Aspirants must take note of the steps mentioned below in order to fill the UPSC IES/ISS 2023 application form:

• Visit the official website www.upsc.gov.in
• Under the section titled “What’s New” click on the link that mentions “Exam Notification: Indian Economic Service – Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2023”
• Now select the option “click here” and fill in the personal details for One Time Registration (OTR)
• Once done, use the credentials to log in again and start filling the online application form
• Fill in the required details as demanded in the application form
• Pay the application fees and save a copy of the confirmation page for future record

UPSC IES/ISS 2023 Important Details

Candidates must download the official notification facilitated in the form of a PDF, to know the important details like the Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Age Limit, Physical Standards etc. For the ease of the candidates, we have mentioned the important details which are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be a citizen of India. However, UPSC has considered special cases which are mentioned in the official notification.
• The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2023 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1993 and not later than 1st August, 2002. However, upper age limit relaxation has been granted for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.

Educational Qualification

• A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a UGC recognised University.
• A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a UGC recognised University.

Physical Standards

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standard for admission to UPSC IES/ISS 2023, as per Regulations published by Government of India.

Application Fee

The application fee for UPSC IES/ISS 2023 examination will be Rs. 200/- which must be paid online. However, the females candidates and candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories are exempted from paying the application fees.

UPSC IES/ISS 2023 Application Correction Window

As per the official notification, the correction window be live from 10th May, 2023 till 16th May, 2023. Candidates must make corrections in their application form within the stipulated time period. Furthermore, the application will not be withdrawn once the candidate has completed the form filing procedure.
