For the 2026 session, as per the rotational policy, IIT Guwahati is going to conduct the exam. Last year (2025), the GATE exam was conducted by IIT Roorkee.
The official notification for GATE 2026, including the detailed schedule, eligibility, and application fees, was released on 05th August 2025. The poster-cum-notification, information brochure, is yet to be announced.

Last year, the GATE 2025 poster was released on 29th July 2024, and the information bulletin on 14th August 2024. For this session, candidates can expect the poster to be released in the second week of August 2025.
For GATE 2026, the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has also launched the official wesbite. Candidates interested in applying for GATE are required to meet the eligibility criteria and then complete the online application form.
GATE 2026 will take place on 07, 08, 14, and 15 February 2026. Those whose forms are accepted by the authority will be eligible to take the GATE 2026 examination.
