CBSE To Conduct Board Exam Twice From Session 2024: Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister, has launched the Prime Minister Schools of Rising India (PM SHRI) project in Chhattisgarh. During the programme, Pradhan declared that students will be able to take the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 twice starting in the academic year 2025-26.

The reason to start such practice to conduct board examinations multiple times is to reduce student’s exam stress and anxiety.

Education Minister Dharmendra Prashad mentioned in an interview in Oct 2023, “The format to conduct the board examinations twice a year will be endorsed from session 2024-25”, as quoted by TOI.
According to the TOI sources, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be the first-ever authority to conduct the class 10 and 12 board examinations multiple times a year.
In which month the CBSE board exam 2024-25 will be conducted?
As per Times Now news authority, the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams will be held once in November-December and again in February-March from session 2024-25.
If a student is satisfied with the marks he/she scored on the first attempt of the board exams then they can choose not to appear for the second attempt of the board examination.
“After both the board exams are conducted, in which students will get the best marks will be considered as final marks of board exam for both classes 10 and 12”, said the education minister.
However, conducting the board examination twice is not mandatory i.e. the traditional format may be followed over the year.
