CSC & Infosys Collaborated to UpSkill 6 Crore Rural Students in India

The renowned IT Company Infosys and Common Services Centres (CSc) E-Governance Services India has joined hands to help students in upgrading the skills who live in rural areas.

CSC which is an SPV under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, has tied with top known IT company Infosys for empowering students living in the rural areas and are of the age group between 10 to 22 years with digital skills.

As per the statement – ‘The digital skills will be offered through the Infosys Springboard which is a digital platform. This platform helps in reskilling & improving the employability.’

Also, in this engagement, both Infosys and CSC will work together in order to help students who are from underprivileged communities living in rural or semi-urban areas. It will also develop professional and vocational skills. 

The Managing Director of CSc E-Governance Services India has stated that – “The foundation of CSC is based on education. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA), we have a mandate of training 6 crore citizens living in rural areas. 

Also in addition to it, the MD also said that the Infosys Springboard will help to bridge the digital divide and add value to its motive of inclusion of education through CSCs.

On the other hand the senior vice president & head, Thirumala Arohi at Infosys said – “The future of a truly digital India relies on the digital literacy of today’s younger generation. We are thrilled to embark on this skilling initiative with CSC and contribute to the development of a digital economy”.

The Senior VP also added that providing equitable access to educational resources and ensuring technology adoption at the grassroots are vital, not only to equip young Indians to be future-ready but also to nurture long-term social and economic prosperity.

It is to be believed that this collaboration will be a success and will be helpful in providing opportunities for a number of learners of underserved communities across the country.
