NExT (National Exit Test), a new exit exam, is being considered by the National Medical Commission (NMC) as a possible replacement for NEET PG. On the other hand, no formal announcement regarding the introduction of NExT or the termination of NEET PG has been made.
NExT was originally scheduled to launch in 2023, but the NMC later postponed it until 2024. The NMC has stated that it has not yet made a decision on the subject and is still in consultation with a number of stakeholders.
If NExT 2024 is postponed, the NMC has published a provisional exam schedule for NEET PG 2024. March 2024 is the tentative date of the NEET PG 2024 exam.
