UP Board Exam 2024: 1.40+ Lakh Students Skip Exam & 4 Caught Cheating

UP Board Exam 2024 Latest Updates: The UPMSP has its Mathematics and Automobiles examination for class 10 on Tuesday i.e. 27 February 2024 in 2 shifts, out of which around 1.40 lakh students skipped the examination.

Mr. Dibyakant Shukla, secretary of the UP board stated that out of the total 21,26,179 registered candidates for the Maths examination 1,33,945 were absent, and out of 3,05,324 candidates registered for the automobiles examination of the UP board 2024, 12,894 were absent.

Mr Shukla also added that these are not the exact figures of the students who skipped their 2024 UP board examination whereas, the board is still calculating the total number of students who skipped their exams.

The secretary of UPMSP further stated that the class 10 and 12 board examinations 2024 were held at 8269 examination centres in the first shift and 5956 in the second shift. The examination centres of the UP board exam 2024 also include the jail centres which were prepared specially for the students.

In addition to this, 4 students i.e. 2 from class 10 and 2 from class 12 were caught cheating in the examination. The students were caught from Gonda district (2), Azamgarh (1), and Shahjahanpur (1) districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Previously, on 22 February 2024 i.e. day 1st of the UP board exam 2024, 3+ lakh students were absent & 5 were caught using unfair means in the examination hall.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has started the board examination for classes 10 and 12 in Uttar Pradesh on 22 February 2024 and is going to conclude on 9 March 2024.
