CBSE Will Not Award Overall Division For Board Exam 2024

CBSE Board Exam 2024 Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the board exam 2024 datehseet and on 30 November 2023 a notice stating the criteria to calculate the overall percentage for the class 10 and 12 board 2024 exams.

“No overall division/distinction/aggregate shall be awarded as per the Bye-Law stipulate” reads the official notice of CBSE.

The CBSE released this notice in response to the many requests received by the authority to intimate the criteria for calculating the percentage of students in the board examinations.

The notice released by CBSE mentions that if a candidate has been offered more than five subjects for the board exam in 2024 the decision to determine the best of five subjects will be in the hands of the institute or the employer.

The calculation of the percentage for the board exams is not done by the CBSE, if the student asks for the percentage for any future reference or employment purposes, it will calculated by the school authority or the institute.

The authority has mentioned that the board is responsible for calculating, declaring, or informing the overall percentage of any student. 

Also, the board will conduct the practical exams and internal/external assessment for classes 10 & 12 for 2024 from 1 January 2024 onward for all the affiliated schools in India and abroad.
