Indian Army (TES-51) Recruitment 2023: Application open for JEE Main Qualifiers, Apply till 12 November

The Indian Army has started the online application process for candidates looking to secure a Permanent Commission in the Army through the 51st (10+2) Technical Entry Scheme (TES-51). 

Candidates who are eligible can submit their applications on the official website – joinindianarmy.nic.in, until November 12, 2023. 

This scheme is being conducted for candidates who have completed their class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and have appeared for the JEE (Mains) 2023 exam.

Applicants who have appeared for JEE Main 2023 are eligible to apply for this recruitment process and are not required to pass the UPSC NDA written examination.

Number of Vacancies

The Technical Entry Scheme (TES-51) recruitment drive 2023 will fill 90 vacancies in the Indian Army. The number of vacancies are provisional and might increase or decrease based on the organization’s needs at that time.

Eligibility Criteria for TES 51 Recruitment 2023

Nationality

Candidates must be a unmarried male and who is either: 

(i) A citizen of India, (ii) A subject of Bhutan, (iii) A subject of Nepal, (iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence i.e. the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2005 and not after 01 Jan 2008.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must have achieved a minimum aggregate of 60 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 examination from a recognized education boards.
• All applicants are required to have taken the JEE (Mains) 2023 exam.

2. Navigate to the “Notifications” section under the “Officer Selection” tab.

3. Click on “Apply Online” and provide the necessary basic information for registration.

4. Proceed to Part 2, where you can upload required documents and complete your submission.

5. After submitting the form, make sure to print a copy for your records.

The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on merit which will be decided by the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defense (Army). The candidates who will be shortlisted will be invited for a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
