Mizoram Board Class 10 Paper Leak: School Teacher Suspended By Govt

Mizoram Board Exam Latest Updates: The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) is conducting the board examination for the class 10 session 2024 in different test centres across the country.

On 8 March 2024, the MBSE successfully conducted the class 10 social science examination in the state. But later, on 11 March 2024, it came to light that the board exam question paper had been leaked by a government school teacher of the state.

The state minister of Mizoram told the assembly that the teacher had provided specific students with suggestions to his students before the exam held on March 8, 2024.

Later, the education minister Dr Vanlalthlana stated “After receiving complaints about the similarity between the questions in the social science paper and those suggested by the teacher from the government-run Mizo High School, the MBSE immediately launched an investigation against the teacher.

After the investigation was completed, it came to knowledge that the teacher was part of a moderation team responsible for screening class 10 board exam question papers, the minister said.

The education minister also added that the teacher himself confessed that he had suggested some questions to the academically weaker students during a special class, whereas all class 10 students were not aware of the questions.

The minister also stated that a committee will decide the further investigation about the social science examination for class 10 whereas the rest of the examination will continue as per the schedule.

The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) has scheduled its last board examination for class 10 session 2024 on 15 March 2024 for home science, IT, civics/economics, and commercial studies across the state.
