In the notice for the exam, which was held on May 5, and the results were made public on June 4, 2024, NTA has discussed the NEET cut-off scores, compensatory marks, the number of test-takers, and the transparency of the examination process.

This year in the NEET UG examination total of 67 candidates from different categories have secured AIR 1. After the declaration of the result, many teachers and students have raised concerns about how so many candidates can top the toughest medical entrance exam.
In response to this National Testing Agency has denied the allegations of inflation of marks, saying that candidates who reported losing time during the NEET 2024 have been given grace marks.
Out of the 67 candidates who got 720/720 marks, 44 are on account of the revision in one Answer Key of Physics, and 06 are on account of compensatory marks for loss of time” these were some of the reasons behind the students scoring higher marks.
