NEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria & Registration Fees Details: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is all set to start the registration process for the NEST 2024 examination on 30 March 2024.

Interested applicants for the National Entrance Screening Test exam are advised to look towards the exam’s eligibility requirements and registration fees as both of them are equally important factors while completing the registration process.

It is to be noted that this year, there is an increase in the registration fees for the NEST exam 2024. The registration fee is increased by 200 Rs for the general category and Rs 100 for the other categories.

Previously, the candidates had to pay Rs 1200 for the general category and Rs 600 for the female, SC, ST, PwD, and Divyang category candidates. Whereas, the candidates will now have to pay Rs 1400 for the general, OBC category and Rs 700 for the female, SC, ST, PwD, and Divyang categories in an online mode.

NEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirement for the NEST 2024 exam is based on 3 aspects. They are:-

• Candidates will be considered for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. program of NISER/CEBS in 2024 if they have passed the 12th Standard examination or its equivalent in 2022, 2023, or if they plan to take the exam in 2024, no matter what their age or category is.
• A candidate must secure a minimum of 60% overall grades (or an equivalent grade) in the Class XII exam from any Indian-recognized board. For applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Divyangjan, the minimum criteria is 55%.
• At last, a candidate must secure a position in the NEST 2024 merit list to become eligible for admission.

As per the NEST 2024 exam schedule, the registration process for the examination will last till 31 May 2024, whereas the exam is scheduled to be held on 30 June 2024 across the country.
