NTA Issues Clarification: Voting In General Election Doesn’t Impact NEET UG Eligibility

NTA released an official notice stating the students should perform their voting rights however, it doesn't effect the exam eligibility criteria.

However, on various social media platforms, a number of candidates who have applied for the NEET UG 2024 examination were asking whether individuals who vote in the LS Elections and have their fingers inked will be prohibited from entering examination halls of the examinations conducted by NTA or not.

In respect to this, the NTA has stated that those assumptions are completely baseless whereas the authority has not issued any such instruction/guideline.

Previously, the NTA has decided to re-open the registration window for the NEET UG 2024 examination for 2 days i.e. 09 and 10 April 2024 (Up to 10:50 P.M.). Candidates who failed to submit their registration forms previously can now submit them by visiting the official website @exams.nta.ac.in/NEET

Furthermore, the authority said that students are requested not to pay heed to such rumors and perform their voting rights because voting will not affect their eligibility to take examinations.

The NTA advised the candidates to focus on their studies and prepare for the forthcoming examinations.
