West Bengal Class 10 Board Exam 2024 Latest News: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) successfully conducted the class 10 board examination 2024 on Friday, February 2, 2024, across 2,675 test centres across the state.

As per the board’s report, approximately 9 Lakh students have appeared for the WBBSE 2024 class 10 board examination out of which 2 students were caught filming the question paper in the examination hall by their mobile phones.

What Action Was Taken By WBBSE?

Later, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) prohibited the two students from taking the class 10 examination on Friday. Whereas, the officials made this decision after discovering that the students had photographed the question papers and posted them on social media.

The president of the WBBSE, Mr Ramanuj Ganguly stated that the West Bengal board exams 2024 started at 9:45 a.m., but shortly the photos of the Bengali class 10 board exam question paper went viral on various social media channels. 

After that, the authorities used the newly implemented code-tracking monitoring system for the first time in 2024 to identify the students who had done the question paper filming for the WB 2024 class 10 board exam and within 20 minutes, the students from English Bazar and Lakhimpur in Malda were identified as the culprit.

Later the administration debarred these two students, who were taking exams at Raigram High School in English Bazar and Betrat High School in Lakhimpur, from completing their WB class 10 board examination 2024, according to the board’s chairman.

Mr Ramanuj Ganguly also stated that no criminal charges would be pressed against them, considering their age.
