The UPSC One-Time Registration (OTR) system is a facility provided by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for candidates who wish to apply for various examinations like NDA, CDS, etc conducted by UPSC.

The OTR system aims to ease the application process by allowing candidates to create a single profile with their basic details like a valid email ID, valid mobile no., personal details as per 10th class certificate, and roll no of 10th class certificate.

How To Register For UPSC OTR 2024

Candidates follow the steps below to register for the UPSC OTR 2024:

  • Go to the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in
  • On the homepage, click on the “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations” link.
  • Click on “New Registration” option.
  • Enter the required personal, contact, and educational details and captcha code.
  • Carefully review the information provided.
  • Click on the submit button to complete the One-Time Registration.
  • A unique Registration ID will be generated upon successful submission.
  • Keep a note of your Registration ID for future use.

Instructions for One-Time Registration (OTR)

Read the official instructions below for the One-Time Registration (OTR):

  1. One Time Registration is mandatory for applying online for various examinations of UPSC.
  2. Register once in OTR and apply for any examination advertised by the UPSC in future.
  3. One Time Registration (OTR) is not an application for any examination. It is just a collection of information from the applicants and giving a separate dashboard to each applicant to facilitate them to maintain their own profile.
  4. Valid active Email ID and Mobile Number are mandatory for One Time Registration (OTR).
  5. The candidate will have to change his/her password in One Time Registration (OTR).
  6. The candidate who wishes to apply online for any examination advertised by the UPSC should use the same password given in the One Time Registration (OTR).
  7. No payment of fee is required for One Time Registration (OTR).
  8. After submitting all the details/ information successfully in the One Time Registration (OTR) a message will be sent to your registered Email ID and Mobile Number.
  9. OTR ID will be sent to your registered Email ID and Mobile Number.
  10. Multiple OTR IDs are not allowed. It may cause your application may be Rejected/Cancelled.
  11. If any corrections/updates/changes in data, please send them to upscsoap.nic.in with document proof.
  12. Log on to upsconline.nic.in to access the home page of the Online Application.
  13. Click on “New Registration” to register a New User for various examinations of UPSC.

UPSC will open the OTR profile correction window for 7 days from 10 Jan 2024 to 16 Jan 2024. It is to be noted that the application correction facility in OTR is available once in a lifetime after registration.
