The GATE examination is held only once a year in an online mode and this year the NTA has decided to conduct the GATE 2024 examination on 3, 4, 10, and 11 February 2024.

GATE 2024 Marking Scheme

The GATE examination for session 2024 has 65 questions in 2 sections. The examination is done for 100 marks where every correct answer is awarded for either 1 or 2 marks.

It is to be noted that there is also a negative marking in the GATE 2024 examination. ⅓ mark will be deducted for every 1 mark incorrect MCQ question whereas, ⅔ is deducted for every 2 marks incorrect MCQ question.

Candidates must remember that there is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions & there is no partial marking for any question.
