GATE 2024 Counselling Registration Started: The Indian Institute of Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) on 19 March 2024 has started the GATE 2024 counselling process. Candidates who have qualified for the exam can register at the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for admission to M.Tech programs or job offers from participating Public Sector Units (PSU’s).

Candidates can now apply for the COAP 2024 counselling from the official website @iitk.ac.in/coap2024

Candidates should note that they first need to register themselves in the COAP 2024 portal then they will be provided the login credentials to apply for GATE 2024 counselling.

It is to be noted that the candidates are not required to pay any registration fees to apply for the COAP 2024 counselling for the GATE examination.

Steps To Apply For GATE 2024 Counselling

Candidates who want to apply for the GATE 2024 counselling to get admission to IITs are required to follow the step-by-step procedure provided below.

• Visit the COAP 2024 portal of GATE counselling @iitk.ac.in/coap2024
• Then on the homepage, click on the register tab.
• You will be directed to a new page.
• Candidates should read all the instructions and click on the proceed option.
• Afterward, fill out the details required for the registration process and click on the submit option.
• The candidate will be provided with the COAP 2024 login credentials on their registered mobile number/email ID.
• Now, on the homepage of the portal, click on the login tab and enter the required credentials.
• The GATE 2024 admission form will appear on your screen.
• Candidates should fill out the admission form and click on the submit option.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the GATE 2024 admission form for future use.

After registration at the COAP portal, the main round and further schedule of events will commence on 13 May, where registered candidates can “Accept & Freeze”, or ” Retain & wait”, or “Reject & wait” the seats offered by participating institutes or job offers by PSU’s.

Earlier, the exam conducting authority has declared the GATE 2024 result and cut off on March 16, 2024.
