NTA Issued Advisory & Instructions For JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Candidates

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam Updates: The National Testing Agency on 23rd January 2024 has released an important notice for the JEE Main 2024 session 1 examination which is going to begin today 24 January 2024.

The subject of the notice is “Advisory and Instructions for the Candidates of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 1 (January 2024) – Registration”.

The notice has been issued on the official website of the JEE Main @jeemain.nta.ac.in, which contains all the necessary information about the exam timings, exam day instructions, marking scheme of all papers, aptitude test and drawing test details, etc.

The JEE Main 2024 advisory notice for the session 1 examination also includes information about answering a question in an online mode, navigating to a question, and an on-screen virtual keyboard.

JEE Main 2024 Official Notice Details

The following details are mentioned in the JEE Main session 1 exam 2024 official notice.

  • Candidates are required to carry their JEE Main 2024 session 1 admit card with them on the exam day.
  • Check the reporting time, gate closing time, and shift of the examination carefully from the JEE Main 2024 session 1 admit card.
  • Aspirants should visit the examination centre, in advance and familiarise themselves with the location and means of reaching the venue of the exam on time.
  • The candidates were advised to register themself via digi locker. The candidates who did not register themselves via the digi locker (or chose authentication through non-Aadhaar options), need to report 1 hour early on the day of the examination to get their biometrics recorded at the exam centre. 
  • Candidates should carry One Passport size photograph (which is uploaded in the application form) and a valid photo ID proof in original (PAN card/ driving license/ voter ID/ passport/ aadhaar card/ ration card etc).
  • The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on the computer screen is as per their opted subject/medium. In case, the subject/medium of the question paper is other than the candidate should immediately inform the invigilator.
  • For the drawing test (part III of B.Arch paper) the candidate must bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers, and colour pencils or crayons. The Candidates are not allowed to use watercolours on the drawing sheet. 
  • Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic device, unusual paper, stationary item, eatable, wrist watch, and calculators in the JEE Main 2024 examination hall.
  • If a candidate goes for bio-break /toilet, he/she should undergo the mandatory frisking and biometrics again.
  • Apart from the biometric attendance and frisking at entry, candidates will be frisked and biometric attendance will be taken again on entry from bio-break/toilet break.
  • A blank A4 size sheet is provided to the candidates for the rough work. Candidates should note that they must write their names and roll numbers on the top of the sheet, and must drop the sheet in the drop box after the completion of the exam.
  • A duly filled-in admit card must be dropped in the designated dropbox while leaving the examination hall/room. Any kind of failure in this may result in a non-evaluation of the answer sheet.
  • Only diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets, fruits, and transparent water bottles to the examination hall. However, they are not allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc.
  • Candidates should also check the marking scheme for the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam, so that they can answer their questions accordingly.
  • While answering the question in the JEE Main 2024 exam, candidates should check the status of the question and whether the question is answered or not.
  • Candidates can click on the “>” arrow which appears to the left of the question palette to maximise the question window and click on “< ” on the right side of the question window to view the question again.
  • Candidates can click on their profiles to change the language of the question paper during the examination.
  • A candidate can also click on the “Clear Response” option to clear their recorded response.
