TSPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam 2023 Cancelled: The Telangana High Court today 23 September 2023 has cancelled the TSPSC Group 1 prelim exam 2023 that was held on 11 June 2023. Candidates who appeared for the Telangana State Public Service Commission Group 1 preliminary examination can check the official site at tspsc.gov.in

Justice P Madhvi Devi allowed the written petition by students and NSUI to cancel the TSPSC Group 1 preliminary examination 2023. The Telangana High Court had also ordered the rearrangement of the TSPSC Group 1 preliminary exam 2023.

“There were discrepancies in the number of OMR sheets too. Earlier, the number of OMR sheets was 2,33,206. After 17 days, they added 258 sheets through a web note. This means that the number of candidates appearing for the exam also changed”, said the president of NSUI Telangana.

Previously the TSPSC Group 1 preliminary examination got cancelled which was going to be held on 16 October 2022, due to a paper leak issue. After SIT did the internal inquiry the exam was rescheduled on 11 June 2023, now this has also been cancelled.

Why TSPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam 2023 Cancelled?

The decision was made after a group of students along with the NSUI (National Student’s Union of India) filled the petition in the Telangana High Court.

As per their statement, No biometric was arranged in the TSPSC Group 1 preliminary examination 2023 and they have given the OMR sheet without the TSPSC 2023 Group 1 prelims admit card. They all demand that the exam should be cancelled.

Some candidates wrote petitions requesting the repeatation of the TSPSC Group 1 preliminary 2023 examination but their petitions were dismissed.

The previous cancellation had turned into a major political issue with opposition parties Congress and BJP accusing the KCR government of leaving unemployed youth in the middle. Candidates, too, had expressed disappointment at having to write the same exam again.

As per the Telangana High Court statement, the candidates who appeared for the Telangana State Public Service Commission Group 1 preliminary examination “the new revised dates of the exam will be notified soon.” The TSPSC Group 1 prelim exam is going to be conducted for sure as per the court orders.
