WBBSE 2024 Class 10 Board Examination Latest Updates: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has opened control rooms in every district of the state for the smooth process of the upcoming Madhyamik Pariksha i.e. class 10 board examination 2024.

As per reports, around 9.33 lakh students are registered for the WBBSE class 10 board examination which is going to be held from February 2, 2024, to February 12, 2024.

WBBSE on 25 January 2024 has also released some helpline numbers for the students who are appearing for the 2024 class 10 board examination which include the numbers for the examination department, the numbers of control rooms, and the numbers for four regional offices.

Following are the numbers that are provided by the WBBSE to the students of class 10, for their 2024 board examination.

Calcutta High Court Orders WBBSE To Set Control Rooms

According to reports, the West Bengal government has directed the board for the opening of district-level control rooms following an order of the Calcutta High Court. The district magistrate and block development officers were directed by the HC to set up control rooms in every district of West Bengal.

According to the HC’s single-judge panel, the board and the state must ensure that students of Madhyamik Pariksha (class 10 students) have no difficulty taking the exam. It is to be noted that all control rooms have appropriate functional helpline numbers.

Calcutta High Court also stated that this information should be spread widely through all possible methods, including loudspeaker announcements from local police stations for the benefit of the students.

The High Court asked the administration to make all arrangements for the transportation of the students to the exam centre at least half an hour before the exam scheduled time. It is to be noted that, if the control room received any information related to the problems faced by any student in their transportation then the school authority will be punishable. 

The Calcutta High Court asked all the officials that these rules and regulations will be implemented by January 29, 2024.
