The CUET UG 2024 session registration is ongoing and will conclude on 26 March 2024, many students who belong particularly those with disabilities (PwD) category have questions about whether the National Testing Agency is going to provide a scribe facility for candidates or not.

CUET UG 2024 Scribe Facility For PwD Candidates

Candidates who are certified as persons with more than 40% benchmark disability by a renowned certifying authority can use a scribe in the CUET UG examination conducted by the NTA.

The facility of a scribe is also provided in case a candidate has a physical limitation and has a disability certificate certified by a CMO/civil surgeon/ medical superintendent of a government health care institution stating that a scribe is essential to write the examination on their behalf.

Along with that, the authority also provides a compensatory time of one hour for an examination of three hours duration exam, no matter whether such a candidate uses the facility of a scribe or not.

It is to be noted that the scribe will be provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA) if requested by the candidate to write the CUET UG 2024 exam on their behalf. However, the scribe is not allowed to explain the questions nor suggest any solutions to the candidates.
